How I would change my study program in Sociology?

 Hi Everyone, Today I will talk to you about how I would like change my curriculum in the carreer of sociology in University of Chile. 

This carreer has so many problems about the way of teaching sociology by the teachers or studies departament. Principally, the classes is very theoric and not much practic, I think the sociology is a social science that have to be very conected with the entorn and social realities, on the contrary this carreer treat too much about read and study very closed. I would like to change that, making a mix of theory and practice.

A good example of this is my class "sociology and socio-praxis in rural worlds", the teacher is preocupated about the "socio-praxis", he takes us on different trips to a rural school where we apply theory while thinking sociologically. I think many more classes should be this way.

Also, I think some classes are unnecesary, like epistemology or big part of the duration of economy class, I think that classes are be to voluntiers, not obligatory. This would allow to reduce workload on others semesters. I´m on fifth semesters, and actually I have 8 classes, I think it´s ridiculous quantity to any student. Normally I have 5 or 6 classes, I don´t understand why they prefeer acumulate to this semester, is a very bad organitation.
